Description
Sencha Ariake is a fresh and invigorating Japanese green tea with a vegetal, slightly iodine scent. Delicious in the morning. A good introduction to sencha. It is harvested annually in June from Yabukita and Okumidori cultivars. Sencha are the most famous Japanese teas. This type of tea is characterised by its folded leaves. It can be enjoyed at any time of day hot or iced. Sencha Ariake goes very well with grilled fish such as red mullet, sea bream, sea bass and salmon, as well as shellfish such as prawns, scallops and clams. For those with a sweet tooth, it is ideal served with red fruit in a mousse or sorbet.
