Description
The Hatsuharu Washi Box. Crafted with Japanese expertise, our washi boxes are hand-covered with traditional mulberry paper. Decorated with the traditional Japanese wave motif interspersed with floral spring designs, this paper heralds the beginning of spring, known as "Hatsuharu" in Japanese. A precious gift for yourself or others. In the Land of the Rising Sun, "wa" means Japanese and "shi" means paper; "washi" therefore literally means "Japanese paper." However, "wa" also signifies harmony and peace: washi is also the paper of harmony. Choosing a washi box honors both the tea and its recipient; it is a true jewel box adorned with symbolic patterns, making it a remarkable and lasting gift that is essential for preserving the freshness of all teas. Two Washi tin sizes. Our washi boxes are equipped with a double lid to ensure the perfect preservation of teas and infusions. They are available in 2 sizes: approx. 100g and 150g. Dimensions: 100g = 12.4 x 6.5 cm. 150g = 15.3 x 7.5 cm.
