Description
A Rare Ceremonial Tea. A rare matcha, crafted as a single-cultivar tea to preserve the unique character of this cultivar. This exceptional approach offers the chance to experience the pure signature of a tea plant, whereas blends are usually preferred as the standard. This ceremonial matcha reveals a fresh, complex bouquet. Its intense umami blends with a smooth texture for a highly elegant tasting experience. Everything about matcha. In the 12th century, the Buddhist monk Eisai brought tea seeds back from a trip to China, which were then planted in various regions of Japan. At the time, the custom was to grind the tea into a very fine powder and whisk it in a bowl. Long reserved for the nobility, its consumption gradually became more popular. Today, it is the central element of Japanese Zen philosophy and aesthetics, thanks to the Cha No Yu ceremony.
